Three Southeast Communities to Improve Quality in Youth Programming
The Ready by 21 National Partnership is proud to announce the awardees of the Ready by 21 Quality Improvement & Asset Building Challenge Grants (Q&A Challenge). Wicomico County, MD; Asheville, NC; and Ft. Myers, FL showed a broad cross-sector commitment building assets for children and youth and so were selected to be part of the Q&A Challenge first cohort.

The Forum’s America's Youth Councils Network is working with a coalition of national organizations to advocate for the creation of a National Youth Council. On June 30th, coalition members had a West Wing sit-down with Tina Tchen, Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement, to discuss their vision for ways to incorporate youth voice into federal policymaking.

On June 30, the Forum convened the Children's Cabinet Network in Washington, DC to meet with federal policymakers about improving coordination between state and national youth policy.
Ready by 21 Institute Engages Leaders from Across the Nation
On August 3-4, the Forum offered a Ready by 21 Institute in Washington, D.C. The training’s main objective was to expand participants’ understanding of the rationale and thinking behind the Ready by 21 strategies and increase the knowledge base on the research behind Ready by 21, as well as the practical and conceptual tools that help to convey it.
