Rob is the Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of the Forum.

As CAO, Rob manages operations which support programmatic excellence at the Forum. Rob oversees staff and consultants in the areas of finance, human resources, information technology and facilities. Rob has thirty years of experience as an educational leader in California. As Superintendent of Schools in two school districts, he led major improvements in student achievement through strengthening curriculum & instruction, implementing positive youth development practices, deepening community involvement and partnerships, bringing fiscal stability, and improving infrastructure and technology. In 2007 and 2008, his community was named by America’s Promise Alliance as one of the “100 Best Communities for Youth” based on the work of the school district in the community.

Prior to serving as a Superintendent, Rob was a high school teacher, administrator and elementary school principal, among other positions. In 2003-2004, Rob worked as a Forum consultant, coordinating a California high school reform project, working in 11 school districts and 71 high schools. Rob was a founding Board member of Georgetown Divide Ready by 21 Inc. and the El Dorado County Community Health Center. He also has served on the Board of the El Dorado County Western Slope Boys and Girls Club, and as Chair of San Francisco Bay Inner City Outings. In 2007, he was awarded “Environmental Administrator of the Year” by the American River Conservancy.

Rob earned a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Physics and Information Sciences at the University of California, San Diego, along with a teaching credential from the University of California, Berkeley. He obtained a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from California State University, Hayward.
