Andrea is the Special Assistant to Karen Pittman, Executive Director of the Forum for Youth Investment.
Andrea joined the Forum in January 2008. Andrea joined the Forum having returned from Peace Corps service (2005-2007) with the National Youth Council of Dominica (pronounced: dom-in-ee-kah) in the Eastern Caribbean. While in this position she assisted the organization in establishing an annual awards program that works to recognize and position youth as positive contributors to Dominican society, not problems to be solved or fixed. Prior to serving with Peace Corps, Andrea was a staff member with Youth Service America where she managed the involvement of the organization’s National Youth Council. Also an AmeriCorps Promise Fellow Alum (2000 & 2001), youth development and service have played a pivotal role in Andrea’s life for many years.
Andrea holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Human Services from Fitchburg State College (MA).
