Strengthening Research on Youth Development

On March 1-2, the Forum facilitated a meeting on behalf of the William T. Grant Foundation focused on mixed methods research. Over 30 scholars came together in Washington, DC for the event, mostly grantees of the Foundation.

Ready by 21 presented at National Conference on Education

From February 11-13, the American Association of School Administrators held their National Conference on Education in Phoenix, AZ, which brought together two thousand school administrators from across the country. Although Karen Pittman was scheduled to speak alongside Dan Domenech, Executive Director of AASA, at the conference, she was unable to attend due to DC weather conditions.

W.T. Grant Workshop on Mentoring and Career Development

On January 25-26, the Forum assisted William T. Grant Foundation staff in convening and facilitating a two-day workshop for William T. Grant Scholars and their mentees in Santa Monica, CA. Every year, a select group of W.T. Grant Scholars receive a two-year supplemental award to mentor junior researchers of color.
